All of them are open Monday through Friday, but stock exchanges outside the US can have completely different holidays. Australia/Oceania Stock Market Hours

South American countries like Brazil and Argentina boast some sizable emerging economies and potentially solid investment opportunities. The selection of index components is based on free float market capitalization. The index weighting of an individual share is capped at 10%. These holidays are identical for both the NYSE and Nasdaq.

For example, the stock exchange of Japan is listed in Japanese Yen. When the Japanese stock exchange rises but the value of the euro against the Japanese Yen falls, you can still lose money with your investment.
